Narrogin Treatment Plant – Water filtration reeds and sedges

Client: The Water and Carbon Group & WA Water Corporation

As part of the redevelopment of the Narrogin Water Treatment Plant two 10,000m2 (2 ha) filtration ponds were planted with 45,000 native aquatic plants. The plants’ work as a further filtration level absorbing nutrients, particulates and organic matter through the action of biofilms prior to the water being discharged into the Narrogin brook.

Good site preparation, tube stock and planting techniques ensure a the strike rate exceed the clients expectations.
