MAIN ROADS WA CASE STUDY

Realignment of roads is a continual process across Western Australia. Main Roads West Australia (MRWA) policy is that vegetation removed through the construction process is replanted as part of offsets or to compensate for the clearing requirements. These offsets can be in other locations or additional land is purchased alongside the new alignment. Many of these sites are remote and in low rainfall zones.

Site preparation and specie selection is essential to optimise survival rates. PALS has been working alongside the MRWA environmental team across the state for more than 10 years.
